A woman is holding a book titled bottle calf
Long time friend of Volland and warmer of many hearts Ann Vigola Anderson is returning to share her latest work The Adventures of Bottle Calf .

This new work builds off the success of Posts of A Mid-Century Kid, a book of short stories written by Anderson about her childhood, which included time in Volland.

In 2020, Anderson teamed up with local artist, and “long lost sister,” Sara Long to share the story of Bottle Calf, who was born during an early spring blizzard at Anderson’s grandfather’s farm. For two years Anderson and Long worked in tandem, writing and illustrating a read-aloud book for all ages to enjoy.

On Sunday afternoon, March 3rd, Anderson will present a reading from her new book, Long will share a few of her paintings that were created especially for The Adventures of Bottle Calf, and rumor has it there will be a special Bottle Calf song! Prints, puzzles, kids’ tees and kids’ activity kits will be available at the gallery and also at saralongart.com. Conversation and refreshments will round out a most pleasant afternoon.

Round up the kids, grandkids, and neighbors, and join us!

This is the perfect event for families!

Doors will open at 1pm with the reading to begin at 2. Limited edition copies of Bottle Calf will be available for purchase and signing by both the author and the artist.
Join us for a lovely afternoon with Ann and Sara.
Free admission. Refreshments.
