Morning
The clock has fallen back an hour.
I like real time.
I like waking up at five as awake as I am at six, knowing that I have an extra hour in my morning, my day.
By the time the sky begins to lighten, the first cups of coffee and other rituals of early morn have come and gone.
Time enough to go outside and relish
the early light of November which now seems to linger, enjoying itself.
The day can wait.
There’s no rush.
Evening
My body clock tells me to stop work when the sun sets.
Real time means less hurry during the morning,
An earlier finish to the workday.
Balance is back. Proper rhythms have been re-established.
Whoever thought of daylight saving time anyway?
